Part 2 of the European baja bug roadtrip!

After doing the first couple of mountain passes, including all the rain, snow and cold we were close to getting into Italy!

Lac du mont Cenis, Close to the italian border!
Crossing the border into Italy

Looking at every photo, it looks like it is raining 24/7. But luckily this isnt the case, just a little rain every now and then.

Unfortunately a common sight when doing a roadtrip :’)

And we’re headed out into the Italian part of the alps!
Since we’re crisscrossing the Alps and it’s routes we will be skipping from France to Italy and back a couple of times.

At least the little baja is fully in it’s element up here! And so am i! The views, the mountains, the thin mountain air, no highways just unsealed bits of gravelroad. It’s perfect.

Most of the routes we are driving through the border region are old military routes, dating back up to hundreds of years ago. that’s also why there are a lot of old forts around, like this one; Forte Föens. Build back in 1897!

Lunch break with a view 🙂

That’s it for now!
