If you’re just tuning in, i can highly recommend starting at Pt.1 to read the full coverage of this trip through Europe.

The final part of our European baja bug trip (for now!)

We’ve reached spain, and we will be heading out to the badlands of the Bardenas Reales this time.

Great scenery in the Bardenas Reales.

From a lot of green, grass, trees and high mountain tops to a desert like landscape with just some bushes, and a lot of dust and sand. The difference couldn’t be any bigger.

Nevertheless it is amazing, the Bardenas Reales in Spain is a must-see.

The Bardenas Reales is a semi-desert, covering 420 square kilometres (160 sq miles) with constantly changing scenery.

We were surprised we had such scenery in Europe, i had never been to Spain before and neither did my dad. But we just never thought this actually existed over here. Untill you go out looking, and it appears to be there, in Spain!

I like the mountains better. Don’t get me wrong, im happy i didn’t miss out on this one! But i’m more of a mountain kinda guy.
But my dad absolutely loved the bardenas reales, and it probably was one of hes highlights of the trip.

Two baja bugs posing in the desert

Here our European baja bug trip comes to an end.
From here it’s straight home, but we’re already making new plans for next year!
and stay tuned for a coming up trip to the island of Rømø, Denmark.
