My friends left Denmark to go back home, which gave me a couple of days in Denmark by myself.

Nice couple of days to relax, cruising around the Danish countryside.

My first stop was the colorfull town of Ribe

Just taking it easy, wildcamping in the woods, checking out some local history and a little trip to Copenhagen.

Campspot for the night, kitchen’s out for dinner.
Danish countryside
The cows approve of my ride 🙂
last night in the woods before going to the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen
Cutting forest so we can enlarge our golf course… (true story)

I paid a visit to Christiania, a semi-independent enclave in Copenhagen. It started when a group of Hippies took over an abandoned military complex in Copenhagen in 1970. Nowadays it’s still “occupied” by hippies, and it is known for it’s marihuana market.

It is worth to take a look into the history of Christiania, it’s an interesting read.

Copenhagen

I stayed one night in Copenhagen (because parking costs were killing me)
I must say, even though i’m no big fan of cities i really like Copenhagen. Lots of history, lots of waterways, and a lot of really old buildings. And last but not least, the people are super friendly!

The great belt bridge

My last night before heading home and that’s it for my trip in Denmark! and probably also the last proper trip before winter.
