Alright, so at first; I hate winters, and i do hate cold weather. (so does my baja bug 🙂 )
If you do hate winters like i do: leaving Australia in October, when winter is about to start in the northern hemisphere and summer in the southern hemisphere isn’t a smart move to do.
But aside from the fact that i hate cold.. I noticed i love playing and sliding around on a frozen “lake” with a baja bug.
We usually never have this kind of low temperatures anymore. So this was a rare opportunity which we had to take advantage of!
And, i have to admit that it left us with a photogenic spot too. I don’t think i will see my baja on a frozen lake ever again.
You’ve better hold on if you ever think of climbing onto the roof of your mate who is sliding around on ice. You don’t have any control whatsoever! But aside from that it’s fun.. isn’t it??
Another fun thing, also not for the fainthearted! Ofcourse, when you do something like this you have to drag one of your mates around on a sled… And ofcourse try to go as fast as possible 😉 luckily i am the one towing, and not the one on the sled!
All in all we had two good days of fun, before the worst of the cold was over and the ice started to melt already. I’m all for warmer weather, and i still do not like winters at all. BUT this was an amazing thing to do and im happy i didn’t miss out on it!
Time to go looking for warmer weather once again!
