So i made it to the farm!
Unfortunately working also is part of the experience. But i felt like i had to do farm work while in Australia.
I was hired to do cherry picking, which actually isn’t a terrible job to do but due to the drought the cherry season was pretty bad. Since you get paid per bin picked the wages aren’t very good.
But hey, I was earning some money.. The experience was great and there were a lot of travelers working so enough people to hang out with.
I met this couple, we shared the fun, the pain and the beers after a day of work and we still are friends today! They currently live in Germany so i visit them every now and then.
Fortunately, because i am a mechanic after a couple weeks of fruit picking i was asked to do other work on the farm! Maintaining tractors, cars, drive tractors to do the mowing/weed spraying etcetera.

Because this was payed on hourly rate, and i was working 6/7 days a week i finally started to save up some money for traveling!

On the road with the buggy, i had to drive all across the farm to check the irrigation systems. Make sure all the trees got enough water, and the irrigation system didnt have any major leaks.

After +/- 3 months of work i decided to continue my travels.
Time to enjoy life after not having one for 3 months!
